My Political View

February 29th, 2008 by Marc F.

 Vote button

As of date I consider myself to be a republican.. what!?!  I know a black republican.. and I’m not even rich yet either!  I’m not really big on politics - although I’ve always wanted to be.  Sounds funny right!  I attempt to listen to NPR when driving to work and I try and catch CNN, but I really don’t.

Yesterday a family friend, Debon Jr. stopped by and we talked a bit about politics, etc.  I was also watching CNN and I realized that I don’t watch the news because we always have kiddie shows on for the children.  Alex asked a couple times to watch Thomas the Tank Engine, but I was kind of focused on watching CNN.

Well, either way - I’m going to try and keep up-to-date on what’s going on.  All my electorial life I’ve never really tried to learn the system nor understand it.  Recently; for the primaries - I was confused about my experience.  When in line I filled out the card they gave us and I marked that I was republican.  This election year I’m actually in favor for Barack Obama, but since I put down republican on my card - they only gave me republican choices.  I chose McCain, but I really wanted to vote for Obama.  Since then I’ve done a little research into understanding how our voting system works and I’ll post stuff here from time-to-time.

Week 4: Waiting Game

February 29th, 2008 by Marc F.

I don’t know if I should be blogging this or not.  My wife is a very private person and I’m just writing all the private details of our lives to a bunch of folks on the intertube!  We’ll see if I can filter it a bit.  As of date, my wife’s spotting has diminished greatly, or completely stopped - I forget.  But it’s a lot better than it was two days ago.  The problem now is my wife doesn’t feel that she’s pregnant any more.  Again; it’s only four weeks into the pregnancy, but she doesn’t have any symptoms that she’s still pregnant.

So; we’re waiting to see what will become of our potential 3rd child.  Keep your fingers crossed!

A Tech Retrospective

I got this article from my uncle Andrew. This article is awesome - I used to complain about how I got my first laptop for $1300 and the specs I can get now for $1100 out beat that 10 to 1. My first laptop was some where around 2001.

Week 4: Mystery Sauce

February 28th, 2008 by Marc F.

Spaghetti and Sauce

I’m thinking about starting a blog about the adventures or misadventures of my wife’s pregnancy with our third child. The first two were a blur - I seemed to do everything right the first time, the second pregnancy we all slacked up a bit, and we can only image the debacle for this pregnancy. Ha-ha.

I noticed that every pregnancy is different and for some reason, the dark side of me is telling me that this one is going to be a bumpy ride. So; we start out with the how my wife found out that she likes prego sauce… I mean she was prego… you know what I mean.

Happy Birthday

My wife is NEVER late for her monthly menstrual cycle. She started to indicate to me that she might be prego all day, Sunday, February 17, 2008. I forgot what we did that day, but I kept reassuring her to wait it out, “You’re not pregenant - don’t even think that way, haha.” Later on that day, for some strange reason, I got very very peaceful about the whole thing. That’s when I new she was pregnant and God has already dealt with me to accept it. I told her, “Go ahead and get the home pregnancy test, if you want - I’m cool with it.” She got, took it and found out on her 28th birthday that she was pregnant. It quickly followed with a 15-minute consoling hug and she then rushed off to figure her numbers (make sure we can afford another baby).

Stay-at-Home Servers

February 20th, 2008 by Marc F.

I found this video from a pandora ad while listening to some music. Visit the site for more funny videos or browse YouTube. It’s basically Microsoft’s attempt at some funny advertising for people buying servers for their home. It’s a Steven Colbert parity and I think they did a good job.

Official Stay-at-Home Server web site.

Prego, It’s in There!

February 19th, 2008 by Marc F.

PregoWell; just like my favorite Italian sauce - we found out on Katina’s birthday that there’s “it’s in there”… in her belly.  Katina is back on the list as “prego”.  So; we’re expecting our third child nine months from now!  WOW!!!!!  I was just trying to survive Leeanne and now there’s another one on the way.

I had a certain peace about it.. you know, “peace that passes all understanding.”  The funny thing is Cameal is prego too so we now have two pregnant women in the house!  It’s going to be a bumpy ride!

Robot Battle

Now these are just a small-scale model. Can you imagine the military applications of these street-fighting robots!? It would be hard for me to imagine that the Japanese government isn’t working on a full-scale model. The days of the mech warrior is soon upon us! Gear yourself, my comrades - for Metal Gear!

My Own Site

February 9th, 2008 by Marc F.

Greedy little girl!

Hey folks, I’ve finally made a decision about FergyTech .com and .net. This .com site will be my personal test lab for all the cool web technologies I want to play with and since .net is well established as the family site. I’ll do an upgrade of Joomla to 1.5 (they’ve made a ton of improve ments) and this site will probably house Wordpress and whatever else I find.

So; yet another site to blog to and/or desert in my epic-travel of becoming the perfect husband/father.
