“Java 4-ever” Movie Trailer
Jun 25th
A co-worker sent me a movie trailer entitled Java 4-ever. The movie is filled with a 5-star-status cast: Eddie Larrison, Scala Johansson, William Windows, Mona Lisa Harddrive, and Lenny Linux. We all wondered what happened to Lenny Linux. Glad to see Lenny in a movie and not another IBM commercial.
It’s probably not a real movie, but I love it. I would certainly spent my money to support a movie like this. It’s in a different language so make sure you can read the captions.
Day of the Jedi!
May 25th
Today, May 25th, is known by many devout Star War fans as “Day of the Jedi“. Yet after doing a little bit of research I now know that today is really “Geek Pride Day“. I like “Day of the Jedi” better! I missed posting something on the epically-coincidental “May the fourth be with you” Day (May 4th) so I made sure not to miss this opportunity.
What is “Day of the Jedi”? For those poor Star Trek souls that don’t know, I’ll shed some light on the subject. Or you can look it up on Wikipedia like I did.

Boxee RPM Available for Fedora 12
Jan 20th

I almost blew my lid when I finally found this web site. I’ve been searching the Internets for anything with the keywords “boxee”, “rpm”, “fc12″, and “fedora 12″. My only result was an RPM for Fedora 10. The version of Boxee was x.7.x and the most recent version of Boxee is x.20.x. That wasn’t going to work – I HAVE to have the latest, I’m running Fedora for peace sake – how much more bleeding edge can I be!?
Well; luck would have it, I came across a forum thread where kurgan posted his latest Boxee/Fedora 12 build. The Great Guin smiles upon us all! So; I’m posting this blog entry to help spread the good word that a Fedora 12/Boxee RPM is out there!

Shawn Powers Burned His House to the Ground!
Jan 18th

I know that title is very very cynical and I’ll probably get a lot of hate-mail and comments over it, but it did get your attention. Sorry Shawn you’re a great guy – I’m just playing the marketing game. Seriously though; Shawn Powers, Editor of Linux Journal, announced the tragic news today on Twitter that his house burned down to the ground. Wow! His family made it out alive, but the family pets were lost, *tragic*. On a brighter note, the community which Powers has built, over the years, has shown him tremendous support and love by donating their imperial credits to him. At the time of me writing this post, he’s raised $8,858.98 of $10,000 in under 24 hours. That’s tremendous!
