Monica Ferguson, 1st Day on Earth

Today is the day, my wife – Katina Ferguson – is giving birth to our third child.  Her name will be Monica Valerie Ferguson.  We’re now at the Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA and things are looking well.  Our adventure started today at 1:10 AM when Tina’s water broke, from there it’s been getting the kids together, asking my brother and his wife to help, etc.  I’m posting to all my social networks (Twitter, Rejaw, Plurk, Pownce, etc) using Ping.fm and posting photos on Flickr and Facebook.

It is Done!

This blog post will be updated as information comes.  So; Monica Valerie Ferguson was born Friday, November 21, 2008 at 2:50 PM EST.  A whopping 8 pounds 1 ounce.

Visit us… ah… Not Really!

For anyone who’s in town, that we know of, come and visit.  We’re at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.  Call me for the room number!

Week 5: Double Life

March 6th, 2008 by FergatROn

It’s a bit tough this week because certain things aren’t being done while my wife is incubating our third child.  I can’t really get upset with her because she’s in a difficult position.  I, and the world, want her to rest – she’s naturally tired because the baby is getting settled in her body.  So; when I get home, she goes to sleep – I take care of the two kids, put them to bed and then I go to bed, she wakes up and does her thing – sounds like a fun routine, eh!?I’m falling way behind on my web projects – for my day job and my boot-strapped business (Digital Alias).  There aren’t enough energon cubes in the day to sustain me after 9:00 PM now-a-days.  Since I’m still programming I need to have a certain level of energy to produce sound code. Or it I just end up having to recode the site later for stupid mistakes.  So; there are many things to do during the day – sometimes I wish I wasn’t so ambitious – that way I wouldn’t have to worry about my business – yet there are so many purks with having a business.  It’s crazy!

Week 4: Waiting Game

February 29th, 2008 by FergatROn

I don’t know if I should be blogging this or not.  My wife is a very private person and I’m just writing all the private details of our lives to a bunch of folks on the intertube!  We’ll see if I can filter it a bit.  As of date, my wife’s spotting has diminished greatly, or completely stopped – I forget.  But it’s a lot better than it was two days ago.  The problem now is my wife doesn’t feel that she’s pregnant any more.  Again; it’s only four weeks into the pregnancy, but she doesn’t have any symptoms that she’s still pregnant.

So; we’re waiting to see what will become of our potential 3rd child.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Week 4: Mystery Sauce

Spaghetti and Sauce

I’m thinking about starting a blog about the adventures or misadventures of my wife’s pregnancy with our third child. The first two were a blur – I seemed to do everything right the first time, the second pregnancy we all slacked up a bit, and we can only image the debacle for this pregnancy. Ha-ha.

I noticed that every pregnancy is different and for some reason, the dark side of me is telling me that this one is going to be a bumpy ride. So; we start out with the how my wife found out that she likes prego sauce… I mean she was prego… you know what I mean.

Happy Birthday

My wife is NEVER late for her monthly menstrual cycle. She started to indicate to me that she might be prego all day, Sunday, February 17, 2008. I forgot what we did that day, but I kept reassuring her to wait it out, “You’re not pregenant – don’t even think that way, haha.” Later on that day, for some strange reason, I got very very peaceful about the whole thing. That’s when I new she was pregnant and God has already dealt with me to accept it. I told her, “Go ahead and get the home pregnancy test, if you want – I’m cool with it.” She got, took it and found out on her 28th birthday that she was pregnant. It quickly followed with a 15-minute consoling hug and she then rushed off to figure her numbers (make sure we can afford another baby).
