Day 2: Choosing a Language
Jul 7th

I really don’t know how to date these entries. We’ll see how long it takes me to no longer write “day n”. Well; I’m making some subtle moves into completing my childhood dream of becoming a video game developer. Two nights ago, I came up with a rough plan, I’m hosting that document on Google Docs, and last night I did some more research. I’m reading this article from GameDev.net on Game Programming Beginners Guide, and luckily for me, they are suggesting C/C++. I really wished they’d suggest that language. It was the first system-level programming language I learned and I really have some kind of loyalty to it.
How to Make Battlefield 2 Work in Windows Vista
May 19th

I was fartin’ around, trying to look up game video on Mirror’s Edge and I saw “Punch-Out” for the Wii. It looks like lots of fun. I still need to buy a Wii.
I Can’t Come Out to Play
Mar 1st

I wanted to make it known to the world, that I have officially given in to the “World of Responsibility” and no longer into the World of Warcraft.
Yes, sad to say – my three young kids (ages 3, 2, and newborn), wife, full-time job, and Internet consulting business has caught up with me – backing me into a corner and yelling into my face saying, “WE TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER VIDEO GAMES AND YOU WILL NO LONGER RUN YOURSELF INTO THE GROUND TO PLAY!” This is the milestone in my life when I have completely converted from a hardcore video game player to a casual gamer (aka Old Man).

Whatcha’ Say!?
