Train Ride for Alex, Prelude

MARTAHey All,

Today, Katina and I plan on taking Alex on a train (MARTA). Every time Katina picks me up from the airport he carries on about the train. So; we thought today would be good to finally get him on the train. He’s taking a nap now and we’ll see how it goes when he gets up. I’ll try and Twitter the events while I’m out.

Replaced My R40 Keyboard

IBM Thinkpad R40Hey gang,

I got the R40 keyboard I ordered on eBay. I was very excited about it and I’m writing this blog with the new French Canadian keyboard model. It’s a little tough to type because the left shift key is very small and some of the characters are not in the same place. I think that’s because the French have more characters to play with. Once I switch the language of the OS to French, maybe it’ll match up. But overall; not a bad deal. I’ve been ad-hocking stuff for a long time now – it kind of makes me feel like a futuristic pirate or something. So; having this keyboard for only $25 is no problems with me.

Today is Jenelle Gordon’s 80th birthday! Ha-ha, boy am I cheesy.  For those that may not know her, she is an old-time friend to Marc and Mario Ferguson.  She is considered the third twin.  We grew up together in Miramar, Florida.  Jenelle is currently married to Jermain Gordon, before that she was known as “Jenelle McDonald”.

Anyway; HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jenelle!

World MapWelcome to FergyTech.NET 3.0, which is really FergyTech.COM 1.0. Confused!?! So am I, Ha-ha. The story behind this is I forgot to renew the domain name www.fergytech.net. It expired in September 2007l; normally the domain registrar gives you a 30-day grace period to renew the domain name. I totally forgot about it, and all of a sudden, the domain was gone from my list of manageable domains. So; I’m trying to get them to give me access; but in the mean time I’m using this domain. The problem is Mario and I (marc) use fergytech.net for ALL our personal emails. So; we’ll see how this works.

For those that might not be aware of the technology used behind this site; I’m using WordPress. Which is totally different from my last content management system. So; I’ll have to redo the usernames/passwords. To be honest; I’m a starting to live in the land of reality and I may not restore everyone’s username. Not a lot of folks did use the site; I know Kristin kept it real, but for the most – it was ME adding content to the site. So; the web site will be changing/evolving again into something more practical than the utopia I had in my mind.
