FOSS Threads Launched!
Sep 22nd

For those that may have remembered my prior post, “New Linux Threads!“, we finally launched the web site September 17th and renamed the product line to “FOSS Threads.” It’s been quite a ride to get the site going and quite the adventure getting the t-shirt designs from concept to production. Again; I can’t thank Kay Ferguson Apparel enough for all the hard work. I’m pretty proud of the startup designs we’ve put together, but I’d give up my first born really like to know what you all think of them.

First Ever Web Design Using The Gimp!
Aug 27th

Hey all, I’m very excited about this. I’m a web designer/developer coming from the Windows world. What that means is I’ve been using Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc to design and produce web sites… for a number of years. Since switching over to Linux, I’ve been trying to figure out what were the FOSS equivalents. The conclusion I came to is The Gimp and Bluefish (unstable). I’m currently working on a web site that I plan to launch this weekend, but I don’t want to show you the goods just yet.
I’m primarily using this blog platform as a time stamp. I’m very proud of what I have been able to produce. I didn’t think it could be done, but the trick is just getting used to the software. That is all for now. I plan on posting the graphic and link this weekend. “My I have some Bluefish to go with The Gimp!?”
