Google Chrome vs Chromium
Jan 2nd

The other day I had a problem with the Chromium repo a fellow Fedora user maintains. I couldn’t get Flash to work after his latest update. Someone on the forum told me that Google has a beta release of Chrome. So; I removed the “chromium” repo I had previously installed and after installing the new one, I got confused. I thought to myself, “What is the difference between Google Chrome and Chromium?” I thought Chromium would be exclusive to Linux.
Well; I Googl’d it and found this wiki. I thought I’d attempt to give it some traction since others must have the same question.

What the Heck is Chromium OS!?
Nov 24th
I’m giving Chromium OS some love. Here’s a “What Is…” video from The Google Chrome Channel on YouTube. Besides all the hoopla they are trying to sell, I’m more excited about the name than anything else. Weird- I know, but “Chrome” to me is more related to Windows and “Chromium” is related to Linux and Open source. So the FOSS-factor of this project will be heavily promoted as this hits main stream media.
Even if Chromium is a total bust, or doesn’t “revolutionize” your computer as they are claiming… this will certainly be a giant spotlight on FOSS. Hasn’t that been our goal from the very beginning. Share the wealth of Free and Open Source Software!? Vive logiciel libre et opensource!
FOSS Threads Launched!
Sep 22nd

For those that may have remembered my prior post, “New Linux Threads!“, we finally launched the web site September 17th and renamed the product line to “FOSS Threads.” It’s been quite a ride to get the site going and quite the adventure getting the t-shirt designs from concept to production. Again; I can’t thank Kay Ferguson Apparel enough for all the hard work. I’m pretty proud of the startup designs we’ve put together, but I’d give up my first born really like to know what you all think of them.
Whatcha’ Say!?
