My brother introduced Legaci to me about two plus weeks or so. Wow, ever since they got their newest member I’ve been enjoying their music THAT MUCH MORE! This Cover song from Jason DeRulo, Whatcha Say, is awesome. On a personal note, they remind me a lot of my old group M3 from my high school days. These guys have a real high chance on making it big! Get in early and subscribe to their YouTube channel.
I’m giving Chromium OS some love. Here’s a “What Is…” video from The Google Chrome Channel on YouTube. Besides all the hoopla they are trying to sell, I’m more excited about the name than anything else. Weird- I know, but “Chrome” to me is more related to Windows and “Chromium” is related to Linux and Open source. So the FOSS-factor of this project will be heavily promoted as this hits main stream media.
Even if Chromium is a total bust, or doesn’t “revolutionize” your computer as they are claiming… this will certainly be a giant spotlight on FOSS. Hasn’t that been our goal from the very beginning. Share the wealth of Free and Open Source Software!? Vive logiciel libre et opensource!
Before I share the “computer” version of this joke; above is the classic Abbott and Costello’s “Who’s on First” routine on YouTube. One of my LUG guys shared this on our mailing list and I thought it was hilarious. I then shared it with some co-workers and I sarcastically asked one of them if they new this famous skit from Abbott and Costello. She honestly told me “no” and didn’t know who Abbott and Costello was. For a moment; I was in shock. Unfortunately; this is a confirmation that I am getting old. Is 30 the new 50?
I don’t know how I ended up wasting time out of my day with this Michael Ian Black fella, but it’s all Levar Burton’s fault. It all started with a Twitter post he did and I started following link after link after link and found this YouTube video on Michael’s children book titled, Chicken Cheeks. I’d like to buy it… see what my kids think of it.
I’m wondering what the state of Linux podcasts are. I never thought about it until Linux Outlaws did their year-end wrap up of 2008. They said it themselves, we’ve lost some good shows and they didn’t expect for their show to be in the same category as “one of the longest running Linux podcasts.” Neither did I, but things change – Linux has evolved and so have podcasts. Where do we stand in 2009?
I love this! I heard this first on Born Stubborn Radio podcast and I almost couldn’t find it on YouTube. I did and this guy will never get married nor will he ever have children. Unless he was playing a character, he is bound to spend the rest of his life playing his Playstation and Final Fantasy series.
